from the desk of Brenda Pogge:
Standing against Sex Workers’ Show at W&M
Tomorrow evening, the College of William & Mary will be hosting the Sex Workers’ “Art” show.
According the the Daily Press, “The event is sponsored by several student organizations, including Voices for Planned Parenthood and the Lambda Alliance, a campus group for gay, lesbian, transsexual and bisexual students.”
The performance at William & Mary was contingent upon the approval of President Gene Nichol, which he “reluctantly” gave last week.
Delegate Brenda Pogge sent a letter to President Nichol expressing her disappointment and asking him to rescind his decision. Click here to read the letter that she sent. Both the Daily Press and the Virginia Gazette ran stories about her request.
Please email her by clicking here and let Brenda know how you feel about this issue.
I can tell her right now that I think the state should seriously consider whether this otherwise fine college should receive its funding the next cycle. Maybe a little funding “reluctance” will keep their eye on what is acceptable and what is not, especially with my tax money and yours.
The liberal army of the nation’s largest abortion chain, Planned Parenthood, is a powerful group indeed, especially considering more than $300 million per year in tax money goes to fund it. But, it is when leaders such as Mr. Nichol cave in to the pressures of lowering the standards of decency that, our entire criteria for elevated thought and improvement begins to vanish from our nation’s best Ivy League schools and we return to Bill Clinton’s definitions and justifications for decency.
William Frawley took Mary Washington University down several notches when he went on a drinking bender for two days and crashed two cars.
Now Gene Nichols is “fluffing” the liberals’ agenda instead of making the right choice.
I wonder if his children will attend this fine educational event?
What’s next? Girls Gone Wild sex parties at Liberty University?
